The president of Andalucía has announced the new measures that will start this Saturday 12th December and last until 10th January.

He reported that the number of cases in Malaga province as dropped to 121/100,000 which proves the measures taken are effective.

With effect from 12/12

You will be able to travel anywhere within Malaga province.

Shops will be able to remain open until 21:00

Bars and Restaurants will still have to close at 18:00.

The curfew remains in place at 22:00 until 07:00.

Maximum number of people to meet remains at 6.

With effect from 18/12

You will be able to travel anywhere within Andalucía which will of course includes Sierra Nevada which will open on the 18/12

Shops will return to their normal opening times.

Bars and Restaurants will still have to close at 18:00 but are allowed to open again from 20:00 till 22:30.

The curfew changes to 23:00 until 06:00.

Maximum number of people to meet remains at 6

With effect from 23/12 – 6/1

Travel outside Andalucía will be permitted to meet with Family members only.

On Christmas Eve night and New Years Eve night

The curfew starts at 01:30.

On 24/12 – 25/12 – 31/12 – 1/1

Gatherings of 10 family members are allowed.

NEW RULES FOR TRAVELLERS

The Government has amended its rules regarding Covid-19 pretesting to enter the country from higher risk places including UK and most of the EU.   From now on Spain will admit a AMT test as an alternative to the PCR test, as these are both cheaper and quicker. Children under 6 are exempt from tests.   The results are now accepted in both French and German as well as Spanish and English.
